Icy Macro by farmreporter

Icy Macro

Val @valpetersen said, “For your challenge this week, as you have lots if lovely snow again, how about a macro shot?”
While she was thinking of a macro of a single flake, I was not able to do that so I thought that a shot of the melting snow against my dried garden flowers would be nice as well. The snow melts and re-freezes around any vegetation, and the ice then sparkles like diamonds when the sun shines on it.
Here's my winter macro, Val @valpetersen! Not exactly what you were hoping for, but I did get it done!

Lovely granular texture of snow there, and great contrast of icy cold white with warmer ochre. Looks fabulous on black

I like the icy crystals around the hydrangea. Very lovely. I wonder if this was cropped in quarters what the bottom left quarter would look like. It seems to have the most clear crystalized snow and good textured petals.
