Snow on May 8th by farmreporter

Snow on May 8th

Yech!!
A polar vortex has made it SO cold lately with a blustery north wind on top of it all.
It makes the mandated Covid-19 staying inside rules so much easier to obey, though!
Can hardly wait until I can play in my flower beds again, though!
Wow, that sure is extreme! Lovely wintry capture in spring.

The bizarre thing is that here in the Oregon, California border area we are having record heat for May

Love the picture

Yet your Forsythia is is out...a bit of a shock there! It’s coming cold tomorrow in the UK...perhaps it’s yours! Been such lovely warm weather for weeks so it will a reminder not to plant out any frost sensitive plants...we are hoping the garden centres might open this week...either they do or they are doomed!

That’s quite a flurry! We have a lovely warm & sunny day, but they say it will be cold from tomorrow, I hope not this cold!

Hi Wendy, 8 years that is commitment. I am Sandra your get-pushed-407 partner for the week. You live in a wonderful piece of the world shown throughout your different pages and you have a lot of photographic experience too.

I wondered if you would consider a ‘photo at midday’ a challenge. It might be capturing a picture on the dot of midday in a busy schedule or else a symbolic midday ritual you may have. Please no timepiece though. I'll watch for what you do with this.

@sandradavies
Thank you for your challenge. It is a good one. I just may have to stop what I am doing at noon every day to make sure I get a decent shot out of the bunch for you!
I sometimes cannot believe that I have been doing this for 8 years! I have been more committed some years than others. I seem to ebb and flow but that is okay by me. I will stop if it is no longer fun!

@farmreporter Great! I thought a 'time' pressure challenge may hinder or support you to have camera in hand or spend time to think. Have fun!
