There is a beautiful view point lookout located on Highway 24 overlooking Lac des Roches. I rather liked the smokey skies here giving the mountains a hazy, ethereal look much like what is found in oil paintings.
Highway 24 is known as BC's fishing highway, and if you look REALLY closely, you can see a TINY dot just in front of the island between the narrowing of the lake.
