Katrina @koalagardens would probably find it amusing that they had some fake koalas in one Australian enclosure. Not sure why they did that and I thought it was very strange!

wow that really made me look twice, gasp, laugh, then shake my head. I would like to know the story behind this absurdity. Did they have any real koalas at all? Now I'm very curious!

No - there were no real koalas at all. Just a few of these plastic ones. And, they were the only plastic animals around. Everything else was real, living and breathing!
