For this week's Trevor Carpenter Photo challenge which is photoelasticity.
Don't ask me how it works 'cuz I haven't a clue.
All I know is that it has to do with clear plastic, a polarizing filter, and polarized light (I used my computer monitor).
A phun photo to take.
Cool. We did something like this at photo club early on in my photo life. I really didn't have any clue what I was doing. The man who set it up told me, but it either bounced off my ear drum before entering my brain or went in one ear and out the other.
I had never heard of it, but might try it some day!
