April Words - Map

This photo is from a copy of the original 1862 map of Glengarry. Our farm is on lots 12 (John McRae) and 13 (Alex McRae and A. McDougull) on the south side of the boundary (shown in red) between Locheil and Lancaster Townships.
So neat to see an old map like that and know the changes that have happened in the 154 years since it was made.
The McDougual Drain, which is a man-made drainage ditch, is the west boundary of our farm, was named for the original family that owned our farm. It was not made when this map was drawn.
Neat!
That is a great map Wendy. I love old stuff like that to look at....and being it's part of your history makes it even more interesting. Great shot and story.

@homeschoolmom Thanks, Lisa
@lindamp5 This is the beauty of 365 - we can use it to improve our photography, but I like to use it to record memories as well. (which is why there are boring barn cleaning shots also)
