I spent the day with friends at Upper Canada Village - a 1860s recreation of homes, stores, churches, and farms on the St. Lawrence River.
This village is authentic and complete with actors dressed in clothing common to that era. A fascinating spot to go.
This is a scow that would have been used on rivers and canals. It was often drawn by a single horse walking along the bank.
This really was a peaceful spot.
