Canada is a multi-cultural country. This can be both a blessing and a curse.
It is wonderful to experience the cultures and traditions of a pluralistic society. And, as a pluralistic society we allow them to remember the conflicts from which they fled to our shores.
The Muslims in Ottawa remembered the destruction of the graveyard cherished by the holy Prophet (pbuh) in the 1920s in this protest. (held on June 23rd on Parliament Hill but posted here for the right June word date.)
As a Westerner, the one thing I did notice about this protest was how few women were involved.
