Little scarlet tanager!

Walking through the forest I could see this little bird lit up like a light bulb! He seemed just to shine amongst the forest background! I wished that I could have gotten closer, but I like the way he is framed by the forest! I had to look him up in my bird book to see what kind of bird he was! A scarlet tanager. Never seen one before but hope to seem him again!

Wow! Talk about brilliantly RED! This Tanager's got it goin' on! Love that birch stump as a bird stand. Made for a great place for this bird to perch for his portrait. I like how the trunk and branches have framed him. Nicely composed, Faye.
