This baby grackle flew up into this bush. They have their babies in the cattails on the ground and not up in a tree. You can see it still has some of it's baby feathers on it's head. The snow is gone from yesterday … but I think how cold it must have been for these babies. I guess momma kept them warm. Happy Mother's Day to everyone.
These characters never seem to determined to hide; I find them out in the open a lot. Also what gives them away are their yelling parents! All the carrying on and zooming around me tells me there's a baby bird sitting close by.
