This is my picture for the Get Pushed challenge this week, issued to me by Wendy @farmreporter I was asked to put some cut flowers next to a window and photograph them on a table with natural light on as wide an aperture as possible, and dress the table with objects sympathetic to the flowers. The books are gardening books, selected with the purple and green theme in mind, and the magazine is Practical Photography (how to shoot creative colourful nature). Little tongue in cheek here!!
@farmreporter Hi Wendy, I did the challenge today as the sun came out and the forecast this week is not good. I hope it meets the criteria. If not, please let me know and I'll try again:) Felicity
@hermann Thanks Sally, the sun came out for a while so I grabbed the opportunity to utilise the light. As the light kept moving, so did the flowers from one end of the table to the next!
Oh - this is so gorgeous and fits the challenge perfectly! Excellent choice of complementary colours - everything balances out so nicely from the warm colours, soft morning light, and composition!
You nailed this! And I wish I could FAV it ten times! (But once will have to do - LOL!)
@farmreporter Thank you shedloads!! This was taken in the spare bedroom and it's really tiny. So to use a wide aperture I had to move the bed out of the way, remove my dog who'd also climbed on the bed, and stand out in the hallway. I never was much good at flower arranging and the poor things were so manhandled while I was faffing about they started to look quite bedraggled. Phew, I can relax for the rest of the week! Thanks once again:))
Not so very long ago you said you would not be able to cope with a get-pushed challenge..
yet, here you are publishing a fabulous still life image, as a reply to your first challenge.. and you nailed it, good and proper..
the light is subtle but well used.. the floral arrangement is gorgeous, as are the flowers.. this more than meets the criteria.. it is spectacularly fab.. love it.. have faith in your abilities - the rest of us do.. 😊
@dulciknit Oh thank you, what a lovely compliment! I certainly didn't expect this to have had such a reception and thought everyone who viewed would be thinking 'can't stand the colour of that wall' !!

@suzanne234 Thank you, I'm glad you think so ))
