The sky had a very unusual pink hue this afternoon, and the sun kept disappearing behind thin wisps of cloud. When the sun came out, its reflection on the wet sand was an unexpected strange shade of rose gold.
On the radio going home, it was announced that the skies over the UK had been a very unusual shade of sulphurous orange and then red due to the atmosphere containing a combination of sand from the Sahara and ash from the wildfires in Iberia.
My goodness. Seems like a long way for the effects of fire and sand to travel. I was going to guess the potential cyclone. They do make for a lovely foggy/cloudy look.
Love the reflection on the sand.
