Sunlight reflected

The sky had a very unusual pink hue this afternoon, and the sun kept disappearing behind thin wisps of cloud. When the sun came out, its reflection on the wet sand was an unexpected strange shade of rose gold.

On the radio going home, it was announced that the skies over the UK had been a very unusual shade of sulphurous orange and then red due to the atmosphere containing a combination of sand from the Sahara and ash from the wildfires in Iberia.
Lovely subdued light 🙂

Beautiful light. Love that golden line of reflections. Do you have any burning-off nearby? We get weird light if there's smoke in the air.

Gorgeous lighting on the sand! Are you having particulate in the air from fires too?

My goodness. Seems like a long way for the effects of fire and sand to travel. I was going to guess the potential cyclone. They do make for a lovely foggy/cloudy look.

It is a beautiful colour - amazing to think the colour is due to the wind bring sand from the Sahara Desert. Fantastic photo.
