My Get Pushed partner this week, Wendy @farmreporter challenged me to a still life of related objects with the addition of something not related to the whole. Out of my comfort zone here, much prefer shooting as I find rather than contriving the end result.
@farmreporter Hi Wendy, another response to your challenge. This one took me much longer ... all of the above have been collected from the local beach over a period of time - the two that are out of context because they have been man made are the weathered glass fragments and the small rock at the top which must have started life as part of a brick. The three shells and the ammonites I classed as being formed by nature.
Didn't realise arranging a few shells etc could be quite so difficult. I photographed them from the top, from the left, from the right, from the side! Then I got sidetracked totally examining the inside of one of the ammonite particles which I had to try and get a close up of. Amazing to think that was some tiny creature millions of years ago before humans ever evolved. So had to include a picture of that too.
Hope these meet with your approval. Have done no housework today, and friend is visiting shortly. Must put camera away immediately!
Nice still life collection. Sometimes I look at these challenges & think I wouldn’t have a clue! It’s hard enough sometimes to get a photo, let alone a specific one!
@carole_sandford Do give it a go Carole, It's great fun. Am learning such a lot through Get Pushed. I joined in because I was running out of ideas for daily pictures and thought it would give me a new focus - and it has.
