This picture was taken on Sunny Sands beach at Folkestone. The Harbour Arm is visible on the horizon. Coronation Parade is the concrete walkway or promenade running at the foot of the cliffs adjacent to the sandy beach. Underneath this promenade is a series of concrete arches much enjoyed by local children and would be photographers:) In the distance you can see a pile of large stones inside the arches which have been deposited there by several very strong storms.
This picture is for the Flash of Red 2018 theme, which is a month of black and white images with an optional flash of red on 14 February.
