Get Pushed 299 - A Spoonful of Flower

Lynda, my Get Pushed partner this week, has challenged me to produce a macro in b&w using a utensil from the kitchen, photographed in an abstract way. Macros I love, b&w I really love, but I struggle with abstracts. Apologies to the abstract lovers out there!
@lynbonn Hello Lynda, my first attempt at your challenge. I hope this is acceptable to you, I'll try to produce something else later on. I'm afraid I just don't think or see in an abstract way, I'm just too black and white! Felicity

I think you have done really well. I don’t think well in abstract either. This reminds me of a pint of milk in a washing machine! That probably makes me more than a tad nuts!!

Wonderfully abstract - I'd never have guessed that it is a spoon. Excellent b&w.

Well this is pretty abstract - I keep thinking it looks like birds feathers. I see everyone is seeing something different, which is the way abstract works - plenty of room for the imagination!

Your struggle has paid off well - this is quite lovely and way cool.

Beautiful and elegant, love the sharp contrast and sensuous curves.

@fbailey I recently read that the use of black and white automatically makes it abstract. Truly black and white flowers do not exist in real life. I think you did it just right. What a great reflection.

Definition of abstract: existing in thought or as an idea but not having a physical or concrete existence.

Fab! You don't struggle with abstracts at all, apparently. One of the secrets is to realise that only you knows what is... don't spoil the mystery by telling us! Fav
