I have a gap left in the SOOC challenge so here is one I put up at the end of the month in another album, heavily edited. I would be interested to see if there is much reaction to this shot ...
What sort of reaction are you interested in? Number of comments? A critique?? I wonder if a square crop (I know its your last sooc!!) to have house in centre would work? Do like the composition and that sky is lovely!!
@30pics4jackiesdiamond I tweaked this a lot Jackie in b&w and very much prefer the tweaked version. Personally to me this is OK but a little bland but as I was anxious to finish off the SOOC month and move on, that's why I put this up. Think purists might have preferred it but that's not my personal choice. Just wondered what the reaction would be.
@sarahlth Thanks Sarah for your comment. Very valid point but it was a SOOC shot with the intention of tweaking (a lot) in b&w. Wondered if people would like it anywhere as much as it came out of the camera.
@fbailey love it!! A tweaked sooc!! I didn't read you narrative properly did I??! And- who cares about purists??? Your project, your rules. Do you use LightRoom???
@30pics4jackiesdiamond No Lightroom, just PSE11 and Nik filters. I tweak (or cook) nearly everything and think it looks so much better for it. This past month has been good from the point of view of thinking more about composition and particularly straight horizons, but I've had withdrawal from post processing:)
I like how you've included the different lines in the field. I also like how the foreground which is less structured than the recently harvested field contrast each other. A most wonderful SOOC.
It is always interesting to compare other people's before and after shots. I really like the black and white version - except for the clouds - I find the contrast on the clouds a bit too much. I think this has lots of merit, just as it is though
