Wind Blown by fbailey

Wind Blown

Taken on this morning's dog walk.
Now your IR is giving me a hankering after a proper Winter now! Doesn't it make it look so beautifully frost and ice laden? Super shot.

@casablanca Thank you but I'll stick to IR if you don't mind!! This is the nearest to ice and snow I want to get:)

It’s Beautiful and fav! I’m very curious to know what happens when you use your IR on real snow.
November 5th, 2018
@jacqbb Thank you, that's a very valid point but I'd rather not have the real thing if that's OK:) If we get it I will try!
November 5th, 2018
@fbailey LOL!! But actually, @jacqbb asks a good question. I wonder what real snow looks like? Maybe you can try it out of the window later in Winter!

I've just looked at this again on black - you must be blown away with the result of this :-)

@paul10 Thanks Paul, I'd not done that. The IR has restored my flagging phojo for sure, I love the effect it gives, but I do appreciate it's not everyone's taste. Really pleased you like it, when are you getting your filter??
November 5th, 2018
@fbailey Ah - not sure yet. My tripod broke today so I think that's the priority right now. I might have to see what Santa brings in a few weeks time ;-)
November 5th, 2018
@fbailey @casablanca I don’t want to see any real snow for quite a while, but I hope to see the answer in the future ;)

November 6th, 2018
Beautiful.
(Not wishing for snow but would like to see what happens with IR!)
November 6th, 2018
What an interesting idea has been raised - white snow with an IR camera - white reflects all colours so could you assume it also reflects IR - and would appear white? Was your windmill in the earlier image white in colour?
November 6th, 2018
@robz Hi Rob, I Googled IR photography and snow earlier (hoping I'd not get the chance to try it out!) and it does appear white. Yes, the windmill was bright white:) @jacqbb @casablanca @4rky
November 6th, 2018
@fbailey Thanks for the info FB. So, a photo of a snow covered landscape with some vegetation etc and a blue sky would end up being pretty effective?
November 6th, 2018
@robz Should do Rob - here's hoping I can't put it to the test!!
