Love those waves. If you cropped off the top quarter/third to make a panorama it would be avoid the distraction of those structures, concentrate the eye on the waves and, with the foreground right stones, give a beautifully balanced image.
@yrhenwr Thanks very much! I must include cropping in the future. I think because I had a D40 (and still do) for so many years and it only has a quarter say of the pixels of more up to date cameras, I always discounted cropping. On the other hand, I could choose my composition more carefully!
@fbailey So much fuss is made of pixel count. You only need lots of pixels if you want to make large images, For a small back-lit screen your D40 could provide more than enough! Of course, you are right about getting the composition right in camera.
the contrast with the sun on the sand makes a stunning image. My thinking was along the lines of David's above but I wasn't going to say anything - until I read what he had put. It is a lovely image, whatever.
