@etienne That's so kind of you, your comment has made my day! The original was underexposed so I needed to lighten it, I also had to straighten it as I cannot take a straight shot for the life of me, and then I added a Nik Colour Efex filter (the Soft Landscape one) to give a little depth. I don't know if you use Nik filters at all (excuse me if you already know about them) but they were available for free download although Nik have now stopped this. However, if you use this link https://support.dxo.com/hc/en-us/articles/360001439187-Is-it-still-possible-to-get-the-free-download-version-of-the-Nik-Collection- you should be able to access them. A lot of my b&w shots (I should say 'all' here) are processed with the Silver Efex filter in this collection. They are compatible with Photoshop and Elements but I'm not sure about other editing programmes. Hope this helps.
@fbailey Hi Felicity, Thanks for your answer and for sharing your best practices. I do not know these Efex filters, but I will try them now. I am always happy to learn something new that I will be able to try.
