@dutchothotmailcom Sorry for not replying earlier - IR stands for infra red. The camera (a cheap Ebay bargain) came already converted to IR and its main advantage (for me) is that is makes skies and water very dark and dramatic and all trees, grass etc show up as pure white - looks as if everything has been touched by frost. If you Google 'best examples of IR photography' you will find some total stunners. Hope this helps!
