Well I feel dumb. I guess what I thought was some of the rock/sand/soil on the step is what everyone else is calling a reflection. I need to get out more.

@randystreat Having read your comment Kathy I looked again at the reflection and can see why you thought it wasn't a reflection - I think I'm the one who needs to get out more I only go out on dog walks or go shopping! That's why I don't put up many pics these days:)
