My challenge this week came from Ashley who asked me for a low key portrait of either one of my dogs or a person.
I had intended to try to do this in the evening but as I'm running out of time for the challenge, utilised the sunshine from the window and a large dark blanket. Oh yes, and a somewhat uncooperative Sheltie who got very bored with the whole proceedings. This would have been sooc but I had to remove the side of a large bird cage from the picture. What did I find difficult? Managing to capture catchlights in her eyes, maintaining her interest whilst holding another Sheltie, who was also very interested in the food treats, out of the way, and juggling upping the ISO and experimenting with the f stop on my prime lens. Not as easy as I thought it would be!
@liveincolour Hi Ashley, here's my response to your challenge, I hope you like her! This shot proved harder than I thought, a good challenge, thanks. Felicity
Fabulous low key. your model did so well to remain still while you took the photo, hope she got a treat. you have captured the glint in her eye perfectly. fav
The rim lighting and catch lights are absolutely perfect.
A FAV!
