My Get Pushed challenge this week was from Adi who challenged me to produce a photo of something which was out of place.
Every three years Folkestone holds a Triennial for artworks and many of these are dotted around the town including works from Yoko Ono, Tracey Emin and Anthony Gormley.
This particular piece of art sits on the top of the East Cliff and overlooks the harbour. A passer by kindly agreed to pose beside it to give a sense of scale.
The strange thing is that as the various pieces have been in situ for several years now, although they would seem out of place to a visitor, to me and doubtless the residents of the town, they are accepted as part of the landscape.
Often art is curious to me. Apparently this can be an interactive piece which is probably enjoyable to those on site who can "play" with it. It would be out of place to me.
