Coots in the sunset

There was a pair of swans and a heron on the left hand side of the lake tonight and I was hoping against hope they would glide into view. They didn't. My dog and I sat on the grass and snapped away merrily and the bats came out and flew overhead. I didn't even manage to catch a bat in flight!

This shot was pure luck as I only went out to the nearest shop (about 4 miles away) and drive past the lake en route. I thought I'd whizz around quickly to give my dog a short walk and then I saw the sunset reflected in the nearby river. So pleased I caught it!
