Watching the Waves by fbailey

Watching the Waves

The tiny figure on the shore fascinated me - he stood there for ages, and was still there when I began to head back to the car park in the increasing darkness. It can't have been an easy task to negotiate the rocks on the jetty to get to his vantage point, but the tide was low so he was in no danger. He didn't seem to have a camera ... why did he want to put so much distance between himself and the people on the promenade? My imagination always runs away with me!

This would have been sooc but I had to straighten it. I changed the settings in camera from Vivid to Soft Landscape but it still didn't accurately reflect the soft pink of the scene, showing a pale apricot instead.
Lovely soft tones.

This is lovely and the small silhouetted man is a great addition. Nice story too.

The man is indeed tiny, yet our eye goes straight to him and he holds our attention!

Beautiful evening light and the silhouette of the lone person really tells a story. Sometimes you just have to be alone. fav.

Great sunset and composition. Perhaps the figure was one of Antony Gormley's "Another Place" man sculptures?
