The melting snow and the rain have increased the flow in the rivers. This is the River Dour as it finds its way through the ruins at Kearsney Abbey, Dover.
Processed with Silver Efex. Not quite how I wanted it to turn out, but perhaps I should stop looking for perfection because I'm not going to find it!
@fujiguy Thanks for that! I paddled around some brickwork to try to get this and hoped I wasn't going to fall in, the camera is not waterproof (nor am I)
Nice effect with the longer exposure on the water. I agree with james's point above but having shot a water fall the other week I know it's a tricky challenge :)
BTW - we are get pushed partners. Would it be okay for me to issue your challenge tomorrow? I am exhausted at the moment - too much playing in the snow today and need to hit the hay.
Hope that there is no flooding because of the thaw. That happens a lot on rivers and streams in the more northerly parts of the US beginning around this time of year.
