A Way to Go Yet

The underside of the Grand Shaft staircase looking upwards - approximately 150 steps to the top. What did worry me slightly were the little slits of daylight appearing through the concrete staircase above (not visible in this shot) ... I loved the shape of this staircase, just like a huge snail shell.
This is a fav. If you didn't mention what it is I would be totally confused and I like that :)

They must have been around for a long time, though! The steps. Interesting to shoot the underside!

I like the sense of mystery. When will it end and where does it go?

Haha, I think the light would worry me too! It looks like such an ancient structure.

What a great capture of the spiral staircase, I love the geometry in it and the way it is lit up.
