Fancied posting something different tonight. This is my photo of last week's moon with a smattering of stars added.
If only I could see the heavens like that with the naked eye....
@molsonsmom Well if I did it, you know it was neither complicated nor clever! We have a photo editing thing called picnik within our Picasa programme, I went on and had a look around as I really wanted to put some sparkle / stars into the picture and found a background there. Was also able to shade the edges slightly lighter which I thought gave it some extra depth. I'm nutty about the moon so had taken lots of shots, which looked rather like shots I had posted before (unsurprisingly) so I was pleased to play a little and am glad you liked the result. :)
Oh, wow...terrific moon shot....did you really just use a point & shoot camera...I have never been able to get a decent moon shot with mine. How did you ever do it? Tripod? I love the processing too... and for the record, Picnik is my FAV editing app...so user-friendly. This pic is also a FAV for me. I
@hwy61 Hello again. You're right - my little camera could never manage this, I have a telescope which I used for the moon shot. I tentatively hold the camera up to the telescope viewfinder and sometimes remember to use a 2-second delay to avoid more shakes. (Oh, and I sometimes remember to invert it too!)
