This little post box is attached to a wonky post by a hedge at the side of a ditch in a little hamlet not far from where I live. Put up during the reign of King George VI (he of the Kings Speech). It has clearly been there a long time and I think it's overdue a soapy cloth!!
I browsed online to check the royal cypher and found that elsewhere these have been stolen to order by unscrupulous collectors!! Whatever next!!
Will you be taking your bucket of soapy water and cloth along too! :-)
You can't beat a bit of heritage. Rather geekishly I had a look on flickr to see if there are any groups dedicated to photos of post boxes, and not surprisingly there are! What was surprising was the wide range of styles. No, I haven't joined the group!!

Great shot love the tones and textures.
