Took lots of photos of my tulips today in various different poses - the kids tell me this is too yellow, too grainy, oh and the frame is naff. They are probably right but my fingers are freezing and I've been here too long to delete it...!!
Amazed and delighted by the views and comments on my garden-globe shot yesterday... next time I will clean it before I take a shot of it! You are all extremely kind and generous as well as darned good looking and talented! Have a great week
I like this very much actually! You've composed it beautifully and cropped it the way I like it too! tulips are gorgeous both in the shape and colour! Another nice flower picture from you
Don't listen to them, I think it's stunning and I love the way you framed it! How did you get that solid colour backround? I assume you took this indoors but you said your fingers were freezing.
My only comment is that since the flowers are stationary, you could have gone with a slower shutter which would have let you lower the ISO.
@allred Hi! Thank you! I think I will tag it 'theme-yellow' !! I have a white kitchen table and a tall white fridge - lots of times now I've pushed one up against the other and from the right angle you don't notice the join. On this one the creamy cupboard was visible on the right, I blurred the edge with picnik which helped.
My camera is very basic but I've realised that I have a button to adjust the camera for different electric lights, next time I might use that.
Yes, I took the photo indoors - my computer desk is in a draught and I can get so cold here! Have a good week :)
Very nice! A creative flower still-life. Love the soft reflection of the tulips in the table and how the flowers get softer at each end. Great work on "joining" the foreground and the background. I think this is a fav.
I like this because it's not your typical flowers in a vase. You rarely photograph them laying on a surface like that. The soft yellow light is perfect for these flowers. Brings out the best of the colors.
