Had a marvellous day - the annual local charity Pancake Race on the village green took up most of it! Had several hundred people tossing pancakes, running with pancakes, lobbing pancakes and of course eating pancakes. As I'm on the organising committee I was busy throughout so took few shots and realised sadly later that I can't use them - so many of the kids there go to the school where I work, and we have strict rules about taking photos of them for our own personal use (not!) so I can't show you the wonderful atmosphere. Imagine it if you can....!
Lovely sunny day, smiles all 'round, lots of laughter and cheering, and a jubilee theme so we had patriotic music too! This is the start/finish line - the sign got blown about a bit but it was spelt correctly I promise you...!
So overwhelmed with the views and comments on my paperweight sunset - thank you thank you all, you're all smashing!! Mwah!
I know the pain of not being able to show great school photos ... but the reason we can't is worth it.
Glad you all have a great day..... we can't do pancake day at school :(
That sounds like a wonderful day! How fun! I was doing some reading about Shrove Tuesday or Pancake Day and we are celebrating it tonight here. I am learning so much about the world, that I thought it would be fun to teach the kids
Glad you all have a great day..... we can't do pancake day at school :(
