Gilding the Lily by filsie65

Gilding the Lily

..well almost! A friend was going away and offered me her lillies as they wouldn't survive until her return. Always happy to help out especially as I never buy these any more since discovering they are poisonous to cats...

Took a photo but it seemed very dull.. we are honoured tonight as Cathy came over and helped me flick through different Picnik pages until we found this texture, which we thought made the lily stand out without losing its natural beauty by brightening or colouring it. At least, we thought so!
(The lillies are now in a cat-free room where they smell heavenly..)

So chuffed to bits with your views and comments on the sharp bit of cd left behind.. you really are the most wonderfully positive and good-looking crew! If only the rest of the world was so sweet :)
I like how the petals look so soft and semi-transparent.
