Blue Moon, you saw me stand here alone, without a dream in my heart, without a love of my own....
This may be the nearest I get to joining in with the music theme! Taken with the help of my trusty telescope in bright clear skies, I upped the shadows a little and it became this lovely deeper blue. Covered in thick clouds soon after, it was such a welcome change to the torrential record-breaking rain.
Oh, and next time I see a heron over the river a few yards away, showing me both profiles and standing beautifully still... I shall make sure I have my camera with me. (aaaaaaaaa!)
Cathy and I were both chuffed with your lovely comments on yesterday's shot of her with the little pooches. She just loves those dogs, they seem to take it in turns to walk by her and by the time she gets back the lead is plaited!! You are all very kind, thank you. Have a great week :)
O M G!!! This is fantastic!!! Okay, I need a telescope!! That's the only way I'm going to ever get detail in my moon shots! This would look great on the walls of an observatory! Well done you!!
@helstor In theory... in fact once I took a shot of a bird of prey from way-away knowing the local bird-of-prey centre had lost one.... it was upside down of course which is odd, but the only reason it worked was because the bird was sat still on a perch for so long .....!
Excellent shot Phil - an immediate FAV! Always reminds me though of how long it is since the last astronaut stood on there. Talking of herons, I've been down to the river in Godmanchester this evening to see the water that you are sending our way :) Spotted a heron in a place I've seen it before. It's a crafty one - it knows that I can't get nearer when it's on the other side of the river!
Oh my, you made the top twenty with this lovely moon and I missed it completely. I've missed having the internet so much this whole week. I have lots of catching up to do, This is beautiful. Well deserved top twenty, my dear.
