In memory of one of the bravest adventurers. Squinted up at the moon tonight, and gave it a wink. This was taken with my telescope and is SOOC (though turned and cropped to compensate for the reflector) plus the flag which I added for Neil Armstrong.
Thank you for your kind wishes for today, my lasering went swiftly and the headache etc have all worn off now. I'll post a photo if I get a chance to take one on my next visit!
And I was delighted to see your kind comments on the river view yesterday, thank you all.
@cromwell Hi Crom - not that I'm aware of, just very careful balancing with no moving at all! I set my camera to macro and hold it right up to the telescope eyepiece, angle it until it gets a good view through the camera viewfinder and click with a 2-second delay to try to alleviate shake. Had to do it numerous times last night as 1-it was a bit windy and 2-the moon was so bright I experimented with lowering the exposure.
My favourite moon shots are when it isn't full, and you get all the texture at the edges in the shadow ... my ixus only has a 3x optical zoom, my new camera has more than twice that and I can't wait to open it up....!
Glad the lasering went well! This is a great moon shot! I will be up past midnight getting my full moon tonight, as it's called the blue moon. I won't have the luxury of the telescope. Just my P&S which has proven its worth when it comes to the moon! I love this shot. Great tribute to the astronaut too!

Glad the headache is gone and the procedure successful! And you do know how to have fun.
