Macro shot... hm. Well I had no ideas at all until I remembered my £50 note -rather glad to 1,remember what it looks like by including it in my project 2. have a close look at it through the camera lens! We'd never seen one before and I guess one day we'll have to spend it.
I remember my Nanny telling me about the 'promise to pay the bearer' history, and didn't even notice it on notes any more, so this is the bit I chose along with those lovely swirly patterns.
Thank you so much for your lovely comments on my two Gangnam styled kids! It has been very quiet since they have been at their Dad's all weekend but I know they will be chuffed when they read all you were kind enough to say.
@filsie65@fannyb - I believe only 4 countries have polymer money, Australia and PNG being two of them (only because PNG uses the same mint). It is plastic money, cannot be torn and lasts forever. The colour and design of this 50 made me think that maybe you Brits had joined in on our modern money?
There is a great book that has just been written called Follow the Money, where a guy follows a $10-00 bill. A £50-00 note would be more fun to follow, I bet it would get into some right scrapes!! Nice shot.
