Well guys it's happened again. Insanity has struck. Having grieved over the loss of the warmth and sunshine recently, I shudder to see frost outside, then spot that today's word is 'seasonal'... without another thought I slip on some shoes and get out there, in my pjs with cameras to hand.
I say cameras because I have noticed that my new canon, while having excellent zoom, doesn't have as good a macro as my old canon ixus. Not sure what to do about it, and just glad I bought a new one before the old one completely wore out. This is far from perfect, I've just about forgotten how to work it, but you get the idea... some of the drops were melting but that big one is distinctly frosty.
I will learn, next time, to upload the photos immediately (before the frost melts) and see how many are a fuzzy mess, rather than leave it to nightfall and go 'ehm'.
Anyway - my seasonal shot, rainwater might have been better for this year but there's no denying that the first frost is a little overdue.
I really appreciate all your lovely comments on any of my shots, eg the black sky and cratered moon yesterday - reading each one gives me a smile, thank you.
(Yikes one month 'til Christmas?!)
Beautiful shot Phil ...the frost is lovely on the green...l bought a macro filter on line its very small ($20) l usually just leave it on the camera then just slip into my pocket when not using it, not at good as a lens, but better than whats on my camera!!
@michelle58 Sounds great.. but I don't think it would fit my P&S... :( I'm in no doubt as to what folk see in a dslr. I was going to get one for my birthday but realised I wouldn't take it everywhere with me so got an updated, better P&S and decided to look for a dslr at Christmas. George has some old lenses that will fit a particular old sony model so I'm watching ebay with fingers crossed.... :)
Gorgeous composition and capture - of all the winter weather I love frosts the most (or dislike them the least) because they are usually followed by a fine clear day.
I am so sorry that my neighbor babysits for every cop in my little city. They can all see me traipsing around in my nightie......
