This is one of the reasons why I've been unable to sit and enjoy my favourite site... yesterday my friend (fast becoming the pet rescue service and with a garden-full) brought over an abandoned guinea-pig, complete with hutch, for us to look after. I know little about looking after GPs so this poor little chap is seriously in trouble. We managed to settle him in, feed and water and speak gently to him yesterday and, as you can see, gave him a gentle cuddle too, as all his friends have died and he is very nervous. (George took this shot btw, just as well as I didn't dare let go....) Jury's out on the name so far....suggestions welcome...!
(Whatever have I let myself in for? Lesson in saying 'No thankyou' is long overdue)
So chuffed to bits that you copped a look at my breakfast bokeh yesterday. Thank you so much! Her ladyship's birthday Friday but I live in hope of being able to get a shot and perhaps beginning to catch-up a little too. TGIF! Have a good one :)
What a sweet shot, Phil! :) You are a true animal lover! I'm sure he will fair well under your care! As for a name... I have no idea. I'm good with dog names, but not guinea pigs.
Lovely pic - we had Larry - cos he was white with black feet & reminded us of Larry the Lam and Oscar - who was beautiful but totally neurotic and was named after Oscar Wilde...
I am imagining lots of pics Animal Magic style with sardonic commentary...
I think he looks more of an Ernest than Ernie...though you could always name him Nikon...
He's cute! Do we know for certain he is really a he? I don't I know why but he looks like a Gus to me. I had a Guinea Pig once- named him Rupert. He was fun to cuddle too.
