Swirling and Dipping and Diving

I'm not sure why, but the last few times I have passed this junction late afternoon I've seen a glorious display of aerobatics from an enormous flock of birds. I was able to stop in a nearby carpark today and click at it - none of the shots captured the enormity of the movement but I liked this one, processed it with a 1960s whatsit to bring out the sundown. Did you watch Autumn Watch tonight, it had starlings coming into roost, they were all swirling around swooping & diving...just an incredible sight.

Congratulations on PP, fantastic image. I found out a while ago it is called a 'murmuration' when starlings whirl about like this. Amazing this time of year, I best be on the lookout.
