I had never ventured up and behind Holy Trinity Church before, so was very surprised to find that there was a new, neat car park and visitor centre there. These headstones had been lifted to make room for them and staked neatly against the wall - something about the red brick, ground ivy and autumn foliage caught my eye. After all the 'remembrance' services it was unusually peaceful up there and I hoped that the long-departed were at peace, too.
