Signs of Spring?

It was a pleasant change yesterday to have a trip to see my mum in Sheffield, and for it not to involve going on a hospital or doctor's visit with her.It gave us more time to have a relaxing day together.

One of the first things I noticed after leaving Sheffield railway station and crossing the main road was these trees with their blossom on display. It shows just how mild our winter has been this year.

There is still a long time before spring arrives properly, but it was uplifting to see this early sign of spring.

It's a lovely bright shot. I think these trees do blossom during the winter. I don't know what they are, but there's a row of them I see on my way home that have been flowering for several weeks - if they're the same. I did see aconites today though!

How lovely and pretty to find blossoms on the trees. We still have about 3 more months of cold and snow.

Lovely! I saw daffodils in the market the other day (though I don't buy them until at least February!)

I'm gad you got to spend a relaxing day with your mother... nursing, or care-giving is very tiring, even when it's for someone you really love!!!

This is a beautiful shot!!! hope it brings the promise of an early spring for you!
