Bark! (In Sheffield) by fishers

Bark! (In Sheffield)

I wish I could tell you the name of the tree that owns this bark! The whole of the bark looked cracked and made interesting patterns. When I examined it more closely I also found lots of subtle shades of red, brown and grey.

Unfortunately there were no leaves on the tree or ground that would help with identification, nor did I see any buds. I may have to go back to the tree later in the year to see its leaves and then I will be able to identify it.
