Rose hips

It was raining this morning as I was walking into York. There seems to be a profusion of rose hips at the moment and I thought they looked most attractive with raindrops on them. Taking inspiration from Margaret Obey (@ceilidh), I took this photo.

I remembered having rose-hip syrup as a child and my grandmother making a type of jam from them. There was lots of information on the internet which I found interesting:
