Enticing Teddy, Stonegate, York by fishers

Enticing Teddy, Stonegate, York

Walking away from the spot where I took yesterdays picture, and with my back to the Minster, I found this enticing teddy. He was strangely alone and without his adoring fans, I think they were all in school!

Teddy's role is to entice you into the shop either to purchase one of his smaller relatives or to indulge in tea and cakes.

I've been trying to get a picture of him like this for ages, success at last.

Great image, super Ted - and big! Can't wait to get to that tearoom upstairs! We've got a teddy (from Indonesia) - he sits on a child's chair on the landing. He's a bit chubby and Tina calls him Onslow after the fat brother-in-law in theTV comedy series, "Keeping Up Appearances" - though I think our Onslow is more refined than the TV one! Fav, btw!

Fantastic photo. I would be easily enticed to go in the shop. I wondered what some of these shops would look like facing them (from your photo yesterday). They look very fun!

Good shot. Teddy doesn't look very happy though - a bit aloof, I think!

Lovely large teddy, like the Paddington Bear window display, perfect timing for the launch of the Paddington bear film. Lovely shot.
