Movember is an attempt to draw attention to and increase funding for and research into men's health problems, and to help improve the lives of those affected by these illnesses. Participants spend the month of November growing a moushtache to publicise the cause.
This year a number of train operating companies have joined in the event, with trains decorated with moustaches. My favourite so far is this Grand Central High Speed Train with its modified logo, creating a rather impressive moustache.
This HST was pausing at York on it's journey from Sunderland to London. It's amazing to realise that HST services have now operated through York for around 35 years, though many have been replaced by electric services. They are due to be replaced on services through York over the next five years, but when they go I will miss the grace and style of these trains.
Thank you all for your kind and considerate comments, they are very much appreciated. I hadn't realised Movember was such a worldwide event until I read some of your comments. I really need to spend a little more time at the railway station to get shots of some of the other moustache bearing trains!
A great capture of this nice train . Beautiful logo insert.
