As I walked home from York railway station, along the riverbank, there was a break in the clouds and the late afternoon sunshine became visible, creating the sky you see in this shot.
What at first appears a quiet scene is not quite as it seems. Studying the scene on the computer at home, I spotted the bird close to the centre of the shot. Then I noticed a glider, just to the left and slightly above the bird. Then an aircraft vapour trail near the bottom left hand corner of the shot. Then another bird towards the bottom right of the shot.
So there you are, quite busy, and it highlights how much there can be happening around us that we just don’t notice.
Fabulous capture with so much more. You've obviously studied your image in great detail. I find that unintended inclusions are often spotted on my large monitor but don't always show up in the 365 image. Fav
Really excellent clouds, looks like it's going to storm soon. And it is easy to get so busy and not see what's happening around us. This is a good reminder!
It often occurs to me that above those dark grey cloud there will be glorious sun shine. If only we could work out a way to control the clouds. Good shot.
Thank you for all your comments - it's encouraging to read all your nice thoughts.
