The big day finally arrived, and Lucy married Raphael at our local church in Clifton, York. They gave the photographers quite a challenge because of the huge difference in their skin tones, but it was a challenge we had fun tackling!
As father of the bride I was rather constrained in what photos I could take, since I was expected to socialise and act as host, but I did manage a selection of shots. I like this shot because of the natural happiness that I felt it conveyed.
A wonderful day, beautiful weather, great friends old and new, and a lovely couple - who could ask for more?
Thank you all for your kind thoughts. It was a wonderful day, and an opportunity to meet many fascinating people. Lucy and Raphael had organised the event themselves and it worked really well. Katharine and I really enjoyed the day!
Thank you for your lovely comments and favs on our wedding shots. Being father of the bride did rather cramp my photographic style, but I had borrowed Lucy's compact camera to slip into my jacket pocket!

Thank you ladies - they spent several days in London after the wedding and today they have flown to Finland for their honeymoon.
