Walking through Wharfemeadows park at Otley, the character changes, from formal gardens, through a childrens play area, playing fields and eventually beyond the park a riverside path through pleasant woodland.
Beside the path, a carpet of wild garlic flowers covers the area between the trees, so here is a close-up shot of a single flower head.

It's a lovely sight to see carpets of these flowers between trees in woodland, but here I wanted to catch the detail of one. The scent of the wild garlic is quite memorable - in fact when our daughters were young, it earned the name 'spaghetti plant' because of the distinctive scent!
So beautiful close up. We have some in our garden but at a distance. And this afternoon we saw masses of them at a distance when at a lovely local National Trust property....but my camera card was in the laptop..............

Thank you for your comments - although these are attractive flowers in a mass, I do like to see the structure revealed by a close-up.
