Brixton Mystery by fishers

Brixton Mystery

A while ago I bought a boxed set of three walking guides called 'London's Hidden Walks', and today Lucy and I took Natalya and pushchair on a walk from book 3 around Brixton. The books are pocket sized but contain a wealth of detail ant took us to some fascinating places, but we did find a mystery on the way.

Near the end of our walk as we went down Electric Avenue we spotted this art installation on the roof of a building. Nothing in our book about it, and so far very little found on the internet - but I did like it, so here it is, cherries and foxes. If anyone knows anything about this I would be fascinated to hear what you know.

Fabulous capture, Unveiled in 2010, created by Buckinghamshire-born artist Lucy Casson.

fascinating sculptures - I used to live in Brixton years ago, as a student, and know it's changed so much since then.

Have you found the Treasure Trails? Not that there is one for Brixton https://www.treasuretrails.co.uk/trails-search/London,Greater%20London,England

@bizziebeeme @casablanca @shannejw @sarah19 @pyrrhula @bkbinthecity @peadar @seattlite @kjarn @stevepam @sangwann @onewing Thank you all for your comments and fav, they are appreciated. Thank you also for the info and links about this sculpture, I obviously hadn't looked properly for info. Your help is appreciated and I will enjoy learning more when I get home and have a little more free time to read.

I must confess to having a weakness for collecting walking guides for parts of the UK that I visit, particularly if they include not only walk information but background about the area and information about things to see. London is well served by a number of authors producing lovely detailed guides - I could have many years exploring in London ahead of me!

@shannejw Thank you Shanne, I was aware of treasure trails, although I've never used one. My current collection of walking guides will take me several lifetimes to complete walking!
