Fuchsia, Homestead Park, York by fishers

Fuchsia, Homestead Park, York

Since the beginning of October we seem to have had a series of days of showers or rain. Between the showers on one of the days I had a walk through Homestead Park, and spotted this fuchsia.

I have fond memories of a walk in the Isle of Man some years ago when following a track when I came upon an arch of fuchsias over the track forming a lovely arcade to walk through. Since then I have had a soft spot for these attractive flowers.

Beautiful rain kissed fuchsia. must've been lovely to see so many together. Ours only did well when she took the hanging basket out of the sun and hung them in a more shady area.

Thank you all for your comments and favs, they are very much appreciated.

We have several varieties of fuchsia in our garden, so why did I wait until I went to the Homestead Park before taking a photo?

I love the description that Babs gave - "singing and dancing in the rain". That is just how the flowers behave in a gentle breeze.
