Continuing along Stonegate, York there are other interesting and unusual features. Above the Georgian frontage of the Jigsaw clothing shop is this interesting crest. I know nothing about it, and all that my research has revealed is that it is thought to be Dutch.
Thank you to all of you who asked about Katharine. She had surgery last night to cauterize her spleen. She looked in much better health today, although very tired. Hopefully this is the beginning of the end of her medical traumas.
Thank you all for your comments and fav, and for your continued support for Katharine. She was moved from the HDU to a surgical ward today so they must be satisfied with her progress so far.
Particular thanks too to Ferry ( @pyrrhula ) for a link which gives interesting information about various York features, including the crest in this photo. I haven't come across this before but there is lots of interesting information - https://www.gpsmycity.com/audio/curious-york-a-family-walk-1460.html - I'm sure this is going to be very useful.
@pyrrhula Well last night I spent over an hour exploring this site, looking at various cities I have been to and others that I would like to visit. It's a fascinating site!

Nice catch - I wish I knew more about heraldry!
